We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale on Nov. 16th and stayed overnight at the Ft. Lauderdale Hilton Marina Hotel this time. The corridors look a bit tired but the room was spacious.
The ship is lovely and no problem finding your way around.
Our ports were George Town, Cayman Islands, Cozumel and Key West.
Took a tour of the city and the turtle farm. Loved the turtles.
We had been to Cozumel before. One of my favorite tours is Chichen Itza and Tulum.
In Key West, we took the Hop On/Hop Off City Trolley, which takes you to 12 stops. We decided to get off at Truman's Little Whitehouse and the Hemmingway House. Quite informative tours. Enjoyed this very much.
Our cabin was quite spacious on Upper Veranda Deck. Loved the double sinks in the bathroom with the whirlpool tub/shower.
We had early seating and the first evening, I decided to try a Vegetarian dish and enjoyed it very much.
The service was excellent and you certainly More
were not rushed.
I didn't enjoy the entertainment on Day 2 with the dancers and singers as I have on previous HAL cruises.
The comedian was very good and the four gentlemen singers were excellent. We opted not to go to the other shows.
Disembarkation went as smoothly as the embarkation. Once our group and number was called, you proceeded to Deck 2 - Mid Ship, cleared customs, picked up our luggage and on the bus within 20 minutes.
Overall this was another successful cruise and we have booked a Baltic Cruise in June, 2014. Less
We always book a Veranda but this time we decided on the Signature Suite or Deluxe Veranda. As stated previously, this is a very spacious room and we spent a lot of time sitting out on our veranda. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the veranda when we were in port.
