Sail Date: Nov 2013

This was our first, and last cruise on Norwegian. From my perspective there is some sort of management problem aboard the Dawn. I have no idea whether the problem is endemic to Norwegian or specific to the Dawn.

A cruise should be a happy place and attention to detail should be paramount. Unfortunately, on this cruise the staff seemed to be in a zombie like trance and detail was non-existent.

Room service was hit or miss. Most ships call before delivering morning coffee. We received a call the first morning but then no more calls. The coffee would just show up. The order was often wrong (coffee, tea, muffin etc.) and we verified this to be the case with others in our party. No attention to detail.

Cabin Review

Bathroom was nice. A larger than normal shower. Storage space less than other ships. Awkward TV layout. The flat panel TV wasted an entire shelf. It could have been wall mounted and freed up some storage space. Bed was fair. Didn't compare to RC.Balcony has sliding glass door. It was fine but seemed a little small.Awkward table in corner of room. Had it been wall mounted it would have saved a lot of space.Only one electrical outlet. With a refurbishment in 2011 and the proliferation of tablets, smart phones, etc. another outlet or two would have been nice. No outlet near the "desk".
