Although this was our 2nd time on a Thomson Cruise- the previous one over 20 years ago- we were pleasantly surprised and it compared favorable to other Cruise Lines - P and O, Fred Olsen, Princess, Cruise and Maritime and Holland and America. Our only problem was the ship had a vibration in our suite (level 8) Dining Room (level 4) and Sundecks for most of the Cruise.
Staff were always cheerful, hard working and attentive except for the woman who directed us to the correct check in queue which was not a good start and we had no photograph on embarkation or general welcome as with other companies.
Excellent and our cabin stewards were very good. The safe was free. A large bathroom with top brand toiletries. Sitting area was nice and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space- did not use the bedside storage boxes- not really convenient to remove articles from the top to get into it.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
The quality, quantity and presentation of the food was very good.
The Trips were well organised and good.
Unfortunately due to our late flight which we were aware of we did not arrive at the Ship until 9 pm, there was a delay over lost luggage on the previous coach for our coach transfer, and the lady showing us to our cabin said that the Life Boat Drill was at 9.15 pm and not at 9.45 pm as stated on our instructions so we did not go to dinner. However it was at 9.45 pm so we missed dinner in the dining room and thus ate in the Cafe, which was good but it was after 10 pm.
