As this was our 2nd cruise we where looking forward to enjoying our trip, the first on Celebrity Century was great, but unfortunately this was POOR when you compare the 2 cruises. We upgraded from Veranda Stateroom to Concierge Veranda Stateroom our room was of a poor standard, curtains coming of the rails, handles coming off the doors, it was eventually rectified but unfortunately a little too late. They advertise as Modern Luxury Cruising, with fresh flowers/fruit in your cabin, we had fresh flowers on day one, and 3 green apples on a plate which remained their for 10 days until we asked them to remove them. The flowers wilted for several days before being removed, which they did but left the water in the vase. The did however give us after complaining some more flowers which eventually died before we took them ourselves down to Customer relations who where surprised to say the least, it became a joke in the end we just had to laugh it off, however we do not value the cruise as Luxury living. The food was great no complaints, most of the staff where great not in housekeeping, but the waiters and dinning room attendants where all good.

We where charged excessively for on board products, I don't consider $75 for 4 photos good value for money at all. The off board excursions took us to the same places as the on board offers and at a much reduced price some more than half the price and better information, touring with the locals was great.

Whilst many of the issues didn't spoil our holiday, it has certainly changed our views on Celebrity Cruising and we will not use this line again.
