Trans Atlantic Cruise
24th October - 7th November
We set off from MAN at 07.20 and landed at LHR at 08.30. Our luggage was with us quickly and we were met and taken to the waiting bus. We left LHR by 09.15 and had an uneventful journey to Harwich, which took just 2hs. This had been the one aspect that I was nervous about, as I had been unable to find anyone reporting on this transfer.
This cabin was in Good condition, except for one shade which missing fromthe balcony. I am glad that we didn't have to sleep on one of the bed settees , asthe spring in the mattress was broken.Care needs to be taken to prop open the balcony door, as it shut many times, due to the movement of the ship in the choppy seas. Our next door neighbour had to pass me his key, so that I could let them back into their room, as they were locked out on their balcony.I wouldn't choose this cabin again, due to the excessive seas that we experiencedIn the Bay of Biscay. I spent a few wakeful nights sliding up and down the bed, dueTo the rolling of the ship.
