Overall excellent experience with a few hiccups!
We were in OS category and really enjoyed our cabin and the extra room. However, there did not appear to be any increased level of service for this category as one would have expected. But to be fair, our attendant was very good with taking care of the cabin and keeping our ice bucket filled. We rarely saw him and a few times he was slow in providing a response when we called for service.
The concierge Luca did an extraordinary job for us and helped us out with some issues with our dining arrangements and excursions. As an aside, I commend RCL for keeping the complimentary drinks in the Concierge lounge...unlike Holland America!
The food was above average for the most part and it was better than the dining experience we had last year on the More Eurodam. Also, the dining room service was superior in every way and we enjoyed going to dinner as opposed to in past sailing when we only dined in the dining room occassionally. The big hiccup was in the daily suite lunch service provided for suite guests on Deck 5. Both times we went the servers where atrocious! They did not smile, barely greeted us and then we had to wait more than 10 minutes to be served even a glass of water. The second time we were there the same crew was working and after 10 minutes with no service we left ( as well as another couple seated nearby.) We did bring it to the attention of the lead server working that shift and later to our dining room server...we never heard an apology nor even an acknowledgement from management! Weird.
We embarked in Barcelona and that went smoothly. The stops were Alicante, Malaga, Madeira and Tenerife. Then seven days crossing the Atlantic. If you are looking to relax...this was the cruise to do it.
The shows were mostly very good.....better than in most cruises we have been on. And, the acrobats who performed in the Centrum were terrific.
We did a ship excursion at each port of call and they were all reasonably priced and informative. We could have done the same on our own for slightly less money but for the difference in cost we preferred to not have to worry about getting around. The guide in Tenerife needs to brush up on her english but she was very friendly and cheerful and we enjoyed having her with us.
Another hiccup was the noise level in our cabin. We were right underneath the Windjammer and we expected some noise during the service hours...but not all through the night!! It got so bad one night we had to call security to investigate! I do not recommend the cabins under the Windjammer to anyone who doesn't own a pair of Bose headphones! We paid half price for the cabin...the folks who paid full fare on the leg to San Diego will be upset. Interesting and puzzling that the design of this ship would place some of the most expensive cabins directly under a busy restauruant venue.,...go figure.

We loved the cabin itself...spacious and clean with a great living room area and balcony. Downside: noise was too much all through the day and NIGHT! Ridiculous to palce a high priced cabin under Winjammer and then allow the crew to make all kind of noises through out the night!
