We are from south east England, and this cruise was extra special as we were getting married on St Thomas. We booked this cruise whilst on the Jewel's inaugural sailing to the Baltic States last August. This was the first week that the garden villa was free, and that kind of decided when we were going to get married.

We travelled with my mother and brother, and the four of us were booked into the garden villa, whilst my two daughters, partners and two grandchildren aged 8 and 18 months, and four other friends were all booked into inside cabins on deck 4.

We arrived in Miami having all been on the same flight, but as we had booked on board, we had independently booked our hotel, so were in a different one to the other 8. Nevertheless, we all met up at the port and got into our respective lines to check in. I have to say both lines moved equally quickly and we more or less boarded at the same time. We were introduced to Alex, our concierge, who was wonderful from start to finish. We mentioned as soon as we saw him that we were getting married on the Thursday, and wanted to book Cagney's for the evening for a special meal for all 12 of us. No problem for him, he booked there and then, before we had even boarded!
