My wife and I were very disappointed with our first experience with Princess cruise lines. We had a very good year in our business and decided to treat ourselves to a nice cruise out of Galveston. We stepped up and sprung for the (King Daddy Sweet Suite) which cost approx. $8000.00 after all the gouging was complete.

Embarkation, we thought would be a breeze. We dropped our bags for check in and began looking for the preferred or express check in line that would give us at least a little preference since we were staying in the (King Daddy Sweet Suite), right? No such luck, no signage or assistance. When we asked one the Princess people about the express check-in thing they directed us straight to the (MVD) Motor Vehicle Maze Line. 45 minutes later we were finally we were able to present our American Express cards so the gouging could begin.

The King Daddy Sweet Suite, It was indeed sweet! Hot tub on our very own private deck, fireplace, master bedroom, awesome shower and whirlpool bath. The brochure and website said that there would be a personal computer in our King Daddy, I thought it would be nice to stay in easy contact with my office, right? No computer. It also said that we would have a Select-Comfort mattress. No Select-Comfort mattress. It was like sleeping on my garage floor! I'm not kiddin! Like sheets over cinderblock!
