We just returned from a wonderful week aboard the Crown Princess. After arriving in San Juan, we had a very nice evening and night at the Radisson Hotel. We left early for the ship and arrived around noon at the terminal.

Embarkation was very well organized and we were actually on the ship by 12:45! Just a tip for those looking to take a bit of their own booze on board, there is a duty free shop within the terminal (actually after you check in with Princess) and they allow you to take purchases to your state room.

We booked a penthouse suite and put our six adult children in steerage (okay, interior rooms). All of the rooms were better than expected, and ours was just amazing. We used our suite every evening as our gathering spot before dinner and it worked our very nicely. We spent lots of time on our balcony, reading, watching dolphins, enjoying cocktails or coffee. My wife loved having a bathtub as well as a separate area for her makeup, etc. We found the extra bucks for the suite well worth it.
