This was our first cruise ever. My Daughter (6) and I went alone as my husband could not come. We departed from New York and stopped at St. Thomas, Tortola, St. Marten, San Juan and Great Stirrup Cay. Overall we had an amazing time. I was definitely our best vacation ever.

Embarkation This was probably the only part of the cruise that didn't go smoothly. The ship had arrived late for some reason, which caused a delay. It took several hours to get everyone on the boat. Once we were on we went to the Venetian for lunch as our rooms were not ready yet.

Stateroom We had initially booked an inside cabin but upgraded to a balcony a few weeks before the cruise. If you can I highly recommend doing this. The balcony was great. I loved sitting out there as we sailed into and out of ports. The room was adequately spacious for the 2 of us. Our room stewards were amazing! They left us towel animals every day and we even had a towel monkey swinging from our shower one day! I tipped them a little extra on the last day as their service was superb.
