We went on Serenade of the Seas as the 2nd part of our honeymoon after spending the 1st week in the BVI, and we were disappointed by the ship.

To give you a little background info I am 30 and sailed on 5 royal caribbean ships with my parents 12-8 years ago and also on the QE2. My husband is 35, had never cruised before and is a huge fan of all inclusive resorts and took a lot of persuading to take a cruise. I managed to persuade him by telling him that the food on cruises is great..... I was wrong. but more about that later.

Embarkation - great - we booked independent flights to san juan (there were some cruise package people on our flight) and shared a taxi with some other people we found in the taxi line up, at a cost of $6 per person - a whole load cheaper than the prearranged cruise transport vouchers. At the docks we zoomed right on thru as we had already checked in online - made a difference.
