Embarking was the easiest I have seen on any cruise. We have cruised four other times so we have something to compare this ship to. We chose this ship for the price. We took 7 people and wanted balcony cabins. This was an 8 day caribbean cruise and with the balcony and all other charges included we paid $769 per person. The price worked for us. The ship was very clean. The entertainers were talented. The shows were not as fun just because like one show was a tribute to Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. The people had talent and the show was well done but that is just not my taste in music. I expected to see alot of partyers and energy on the ship since it was a Carnival ship. I was very surprised when (my guess is)at least 75% of the people on board were probably over 65. Some people were sweet, some were real crabby and complaining. The food in the dining room was disappointing. Sometimes the appetizer would be incredibly good, the salads were usually always good, the entrees were sometimes good and sometimes not. These were the worst steaks I have had on any cruise ever. Sometimes the buffet seemed better than than the dining room which is the opposite of how it is on most cruises. It all goes back to the price-it was such a good deal it is hard to complain too much.

The ships decor is the theme of "Legends." It was hard to get used to as it was so busy and distracting. Well done for the theme but annoying to look at to our little group. There was a really good asian band playing songs from like the 70's, 80's and maybe some 90's in the "Sachymos Lounge" they were really good. I would have liked to dance in Medusa's which is the real good popular dance music/disco but there was always a kids camp or teen time when I wanted to go in there. I don't like to be up past 12:30 at night and then is when it gets rolling in there. The "Firebird Lounge" was fun for karaoke. The ship was very clean and the rooms were larger than any rooms I have stayed in on any ship. The balcony could have looked cleaner but our rooms were immaculate and so were the hallways. The staff was so nice and friendly and they worked so hard. Our waiter Zsolt and Pendile in the dining room were funny and gave excellent service. We tipped them both above what is required. I would recommend trying to sit in their section. We took the bike and swim excursion in Barbados and it was well worth it. Barbados was a good stop-very pretty. Martinique was a waste but I understand they are not stopping there anymore-people not friendly-nothing to do or see in the town. St Maarten was awesome as there was so many stores and you can take the boardwalk all along the beach. We paid a taxi $3 each to get to the town but you can walk there in 10 minutes from the ship-if you like to walk don't pay for a taxi.
