This was our first cruise so we have nothing to compare it with. There were three of us, myself, my husband and our 11 year old daughter. We chose this cruise because of the Galveston departure, convenient drive from Oklahoma.

Overall, all I can say is FANTASTIC! I can't wait to go on another one.

Pre-Cruise We drove down on Saturday, December 20 to Galveston. Stayed at the Commodore on the Beach. Got an internet special price of $59 for the night, plus we could leave our car there for free during the cruise and they would shuttle us back and forth for free. The beds were really soft, but the convenience of the shuttle probably compensated for that. The shuttle service was fantastic. We were pretty early checking in, so we got to pick our time to go to the ship. We got the first time of 11:30. There were only 8 people traveling on the Rhapsody; they had 60-70 people staying there going out on the Carnival Elation. It certainly made our return trip much faster than the others.
