Norwegian Sun - Western Caribbean

Sail Date: December 2006
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: New Orleans

Being a Latitudes member was supposed to "ensure" priority service. However at the check in, there were more latitude members in line than first timers. But NCL had more clerks handling the first timers while we stood in line for 15-20 minutes longer than the first timers.

Don't bother to get a balcony if you want to sit on it. The chairs are virtually unbearable.

Though the ship is showing it's age if you look closely, you'll also notice how clean everything is if you look closely.

It's a nice ship...the perfect size in my humble opinion. Although it was completely full, we never felt crowded except when the show in the showroom at the aft was over and everyone left at once. This crowd was easily avoided by 1. leaving as soon as the show was over (right when the cruise director came out to do her "bit"), or 2. waiting 5 minutes after everyone else left.

At one of the shows, they brought out about 1/2 of the staff and most of the officers to More introduce the. I thought it fitting that the cabin stewards received the largest applause by far! They were superior.

Why they keep Belize on the itinerary is beyond me. It would be much better to overnight at Costa Maya.

Overall, this was one wonderful cruise experience. Less
