This was our first cruise ever and after much debating decided to go with DCL aboard the Magic. I booked through my usual Disney TA. We arrived a few days earlier and spent a couple of days at Disney before heading to Port Canaveral. We rented our vehicle to have flexibility we needed since we were returning to Disney for another night after our cruise. We arrived at port about 10:40 a.m. and the place was hopping. I had filled out the forms and printed them out at home which sped up the check-in process. The terminal was very nice. Boarding started right about noon. I love how we were announced upon embarkation. You can be creative with how you are announced as well. I had also booked our excursions, spa bookings and Palo dining reservations online. I had purchased the romance package to get the ability to book at 120 days out (must pay in full in order to book reservations).
Food: There wasn't anything I didn't like. I felt the dining room service was very good. Palo was excellent and we had an absolutely wonderful server for brunch so we requested him for dinner.
Service: I never thought Disney can make Disney look bad, but their cruiseline service is superior to their service at their resorts and parks in WDW. I always encountered smiles even down to the guys that maintained the ship.
