our cruise got off to rocky start as the ship was already scheduled to leave a few hours late because the previous weeks cruise came in with a few hundred passengers came down sick. embarkation was deceivingly fast as they put us on buses to parrot island to spend a hot afternoon - like parrots or not. with a 90 minute wait in line to get free food and no buses to take you back to the ship for its 8 or 9 oclock departure most people took cabs back. our seats at diner were double booked so we ate at portofinos the first nite - a nice alternative rest. strangely situated in the windjammer buffet. speaking of the buffet windjammers - you will become very familiar with it because the dining rooms were not open all week for breakfast or lunch. after you figure out how to order an omelet you'll need some luck finding a place to sit. remember the whole ship eats lunch and breakfast here. most of the shows were very good - especially the 2 production shows and char - thats right i said char - she was really entertaining. don;t miss the ice show - go at least once. i've always liked cozumel however it just doesn't seem the same since the hurricane. jamaica hasn't changed much over the years, nothing great or even good. grand cayman what's with this place - every ship in Carib stops here - if you like crowds i mean CROWDS this place is for. labadee is the best cruise line private island in the Caribbean. i think royal Caribbean took on to much with a 4000 passenger ship - crowds and service suffer. as far as mega ships is concerned for royal Carib - there is no turning back . they will continue to market 'the biggest ships afloat' - cruise directors will continue to scream out 'isn't this the greatest cruise of your life' that would be true if it was your first cruise.
