My week on the Pride of America, 11/11/06 (long)

First off I just want to start by saying that if you are booked on the Pride of America and are worried because of the negative reviews that have been posted on this board lately you can relax. I had a great time. I have cruised numerous times and I am gold on NCL Latitudes but this was my first NCL America Cruise and I thought it was excellent and a great way to see Hawaii.

My flight was on Delta airlines from Fort Lauderdale with a connection in Atlanta. The Atlanta plane had a problem with the "entertainment" system which is also the communications system so we sat on the plane for over an hour before taking off which meant that we were sitting on the plane over ten (10) hours. I can honestly say that this was the worst part of the vacation. When we got off the plane there was NCL staff right there to greet us and we boarded a bus that took us to the port without incident. We didn't get on the ship until 5:30pm but I have never had an easier and more pleasant embarkation which was very efficient and smooth.
