WOWWWWWEEEEEEE - did I cry yesterday coming home, I was sobbing in the taxi when we were told to wave goodbye

I had the trip of a lifetime so thought I would tell you all about it as it was my first time with RCI. We sailed to Aruba, Curacao, St Thomas and St Martin.

We had our flights arranged by RCI and everything went very smoothly and was booked into the Courtyard Marriot in San Juan - a lovely hotel in a fab location right on the beach. We only really spent the night there and had brekkie in the morning but couldn't fault the hotel from what we saw and the rooms were HUGE!! We decided on embarkation morning to make our own way to the airport which cost $20 but were so glad we did as we were on the ship by midday and it was all a breeze and hardly any queues!!! Yes there were a lot of Puerto Ricans (probably 80%) but they were lovely. You will always get the odd few that are rude but hey that goes with any nationality. First impressions of the ship were with our mouths wide open and we met some great bar tenders as soon as we got on board (you have to start drinking early!!). Windjammer was very busy but was to be expected so it didn't bother us too much. We were allowed into our room at 2pm and mum was in tears - for those of you that know I upgraded from an inside to Junior suite and it was lovely and a perfect size. Indeed we had room service every morning sat eating brekkie on the balcony. We were in cabin 9318 and couldn't recommend these enough as the location is totally perfect and no noise at all from the lifts. The first night was a bit of a nightmare - the welcome aboard parade was soooooo busy that I got a little annoyed but if you get there and wait early then it probably wouldn't have been as bad and you would have had a better view than we did.
