I just return from a 4 day cruise on the Elation and I wanted to do a review so anyone going on this cruise in the future will have an idea of what to expect. Embarkation: Very Smooth! The line wasn't bad at all and once we got through the security we went right up to the carnival desk and it was a breeze. We traveled with 10 girls total and we were all out of the check-in area in no time. We boarded the ship around 1:15 or so and our rooms were not ready so we went up to the lido deck and had lunch. The deli sandwiches (in the back of the ship) were my favorite and the pizza was better then the pizza on the conquest. Rooms: Our room was a four person room with two bunker beds that came down from the walls. We kept our room very organized by putting our cloths in the huge closets and keeping our bags all tuck away in the area by the closet. My only complaint about the room was the water pressure wasn't the greatest but it worked. The tv only had a few channels and fox isn't one of them so no football on sunday! Dinner: Dinner was always very good. We always ate up in the main dining room because that's where most of the money you spend on the cruise pays for so it's best to enjoy it. Our Waiter was Robert from South Africa and he was shy at first but we loosen him right up! He was very nice! and remember order what ever you want and as much as you want from the menu. Entertainment: the dance shows were ok. Kinda corny but you have to at least go to one. we went to all of them. The adult comedy is a MUST see especially the second one.....It's Phat Kat and he's hilarious!!!!!!!!! Also don't miss the hypnotist. That's always a good show. Late night entertainment: Not many people in the Disco the night we went but we still had fun. It's packed the last night of the cruise though. Excursion: Our ports were Freeport and Nassau. In freeport we signed up for the snorkel but it was cancelled due to rough seas. Then in Nassau we did the yellowbird! I will definitely do that again if I am ever in Nassau again. ALot of fun and free rum punch! Ship Layout: Here is where I was really disappointed. The layout of the ship was so confusing. There were some parts of the ship where you had to go either up or down to get to the other side of the ship. we even had a map of the ship and were still confused. So I suggest to really study the deck plan either before you go or once you get on the ship. I was just used to being on the conquest where you can stay on one level and it goes from one end of the ship to the other. Over all a very clean ship and nice theater lounge. I wouldn't cruise on this ship again unless I got an awesome deal but that's only because I kept getting confused by the layout. Hope you enjoyed the review
