Wow! What a great ship. The Grandeur offers a wonderful cruise for both the new and experienced traveler. We traveled to Baltimore on November 10 via chartered bus from Pittsburgh (AAA). The trip was short (about 4 hours + one hour stop) and we arrived at the new port about 11:30. The best part and most improved aspect of the cruise (we had cruised two times before from Baltimore) was the boarding time. We were on the ship 9 minutes after we walked in the port building. We had completed the pre-boarding information via the internet and that really made it easy.
The ship, while 10 years old is in great shape. Here and there, there is a little wear, but all in all it was clean and sharp.
The activities on the ship were of a wide variety. We did not participate in too many as we wanted to relax and enjoy watching others. We did attend every evening production (we ate the early dinner) and then hit the casino later. Both of us hit it pretty big on the slots. I hit a Royal Flush and my wife won $200 on a drawing. The service was, how can I say it.....Wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, from the room attendent to the waiters to the bartenders.
