This is my second cruise and I had a great time. Yes there are something that I would have changed. But it can't be right for everyone. To start the embarkation was a snap. Pulled up and the ports took our bags and we went and parked the car. That was not fun. When we parked the car there were no signs nor on our ticket how much it would cost to park the car while we were gone. ll days was $120.00! We walked into the terminal right up to the counter checked in. Turned and walked right onto the ship. We were in our cabin in 15 mins of leaving the car. Can't get better then that. Our cabin steward "Carlitos" was there to greet us. He was very nice and always prompt when asked for anything. (Way to go Carlitos). Our suitcases arrived shortly after we were underway. They cabin was nice but the bathroom was small. And of all things the commode was a tall one. If I was 7ft tall it would be comfortable but I'm not. When I sat on it my feet dangled. The closet storage area was small. We had 3 large suitcases and one small and we had to take down the shelf units to be able to store the suitcases in the closet. This cut down on our storage area. Dinning experience was great. We ate in the Marque lounge and "Robin" our waiter was outstanding. I was really impressed with his professionalism and kindness. I tried several new foods on this trip. And he helped me to know how to eat some of them. The horizon lounge well lets see. It has a small seating area for the amount of people on board. The food was OK but could us help. Breakfast sausage was grease and hard. Scrambled eggs were crunchy one day and runny another. Caesar dressing was very bitter. But in the dinning rooms it was great.

activities on board: we attended a wine tasting that was fun. I found out that I'm not a wine drinker. Wine coolers sure but not fancy wines. We attended several Art Auction. They were very fun and informative. We, or my daughter, ended up buying 3 paintings and winning 2 paintings. Then we attended BINGO. This I believe was on overcharge. It was $30.00 for 5 games. The bingo machine could use updating. The big shows at night and the guess stars need major help. Not only they type of show, who they choose as guess but the lounge itself. The shows were old and very short in length. I could see the dancers off stage getting ready for the next spot. The shows were old. They need to show more modern shows. And the biggest things is the Sun Princess need to accommodate the larger passenger. The seats in the Sun lounge is to small for the larger person. It was uncomfortable and I could not use the in-arm table. And because of the boat being so crowed the folks next to me were uncomfortable too. The Visa lounge was better. At least they had sofa type seating and chair seating too. But the sofa seating does not get to use a table. I think the Princess line could copy the seating of Carnival lounges. At least Carnival is "large people friendly".

Shore excursions: Our first stop was Curacao. That was a nice colorful island. It makes on think they are in a Dutch village. Very colorful buildings with sharp colors and very white trimming. Open air fresh fruit/veg markets. Vendors on the street selling dresses, shirts, and gifts. Several several shops for shopping for the one gift you are looking for, be it watches, jewelry, shirts, shoes, or keepsakes. Our tour was the train trolly. It was very informative and we got to see alot of nice places. I loved the "Wedding Cake House". Our second stop was Isla de Marquita: This is an up coming tourist stop. Our tour here was the shopping tour. Our guide took us to the only gift shop. It was great and had pearl necklaces cheap. I got a very long necklace for only $75.00. Wow What a deal. It has a large mts range and beautiful beaches. You can see Venezuela from the shore. We toured in a large greyhound type bus and was nice. A/C worked very well and had plenty of room. Our third stop was Barbados: We arrived on a Sunday and the city was closed but the port stores were open. Everything you could have asked for was at the port stores. Alcohol, candy, cig., cloths, and gifts items. We took the shore to shore tour and was very happy with it. We saw sights that took your breath away. This island is so beautiful and well worth the trip. Our fourth stop was in Dominica: This island is volcanic. Everything was imported. We went up into the Rain forest. Did not see animals but I did see two birds. Was expecting to see lots of animals was a little disappointed. We did hear that they people on the whale watching ship saw several whales. Our fifth stop was St. Thomas: This is a beautiful breath taking island. From the top of Paradise Point looking out over Charlotte Amalie Bay. There is just no words to describe the view. Wow just does not seem to express it enough. Very much worth the trip and any discomforts I had onboard the ship. Our last stop was to the Princess Cay. But the sea was to ruff for the tenders to go ashore so we got another day at sea. I did enjoy the trip and I did enjoy the ship. I believe every ship has it's own pros and cons. The Sun could use bigger or better seating for the larger persons, better entertainment, better guess entertainers, better food, and clocks in the rooms. Pros I liked the wooden decks and the wooden deck chairs and benches. Drinks were very tasty. The bartenders do know how to make a good drink. Thanks to all the Sun Princess Crew for making my vacation wonderful...
