This was my first cruise, and I traveled alone with my seven year old son. We booked the most inexpensive inside cabin. It was very small, but just right for us. We had wonderful towel animals every day, which thrilled my son to no end.

The food was wonderful. I especially enjoyed the meal that centered around the animation theme. Our waiters were very kind and friendly, and the people who sat at our table were very friendly. We made some new friends, and enjoyed the food very much. One thing I would do differently would be to arrange early seating. My son and I booked for the second seating which proved to be a bit late for my son. I saw other children suffering every more. One of the younger members of our group at our table would often fall asleep at the table. Late seating is at 8pm. Not so very late, but the cruise is very exciting for children, who often have been playing, swimming, and having fun all day without a nap. By dinner, everyone is often very tired.

We booked shore excursions at every port, which were fun as well. My favorite one was the submarine. My son enjoyed it the best as well. We also went on the butterfly farm excursion. It was also fun, but i would have just much preferred to sleep in and explore the beach on my own, which is what we did later in the day. The beaches in Saint Martin are beautiful, and not crowded. The markets are city near the cruise ship are smaller than i expected. but, it was still very nice. Read more
