Sail Date: Oct 2013

This was a well needed, and awesome 10 day vacation on a beautiful ship with a fantastic crew. We cruised with another couple and all 4 of us had a wonderful time. Having sailed over 20 cruises, (Princess, Celebrity, Holland America, RCI, Norwegian) we’re glad to say that we really haven't had a bad one yet! From start to finish Princess had a well organized embarkation and disembarkation. We arrived in NY (JFK) from Boston at 10:30 and took the Princess airport transfers to the ship. We were on the bus at JFK by noon and arrived at the Brooklyn terminal 1 hr later. (I must say how fortunate we were because on route to the terminal, the bus was cut off on the highway by a hit and run driver. The crash caused the bus windshield to crack and ripped off the left side headlights and bumper! The driver of the car took off, and fortunately the bus was able to continue to the cruise terminal. (lucky for us no one was hurt) We arrived at the cruise terminal and on board within 15 minutes. Our rooms were ready, so we dropped off our baggage and proceeded to the Lido deck for lunch. (as crowded as it was, after a few minutes we found a table for 4) lunch was very good.

Room:

Our room was just right. I love that Princess has lots of storage areas, and that the closet area is separate from the main room which allows you space to dress. (I never miss a sunrise while cruising (I’m up at 5:30am and can get dressed in that space without disturbing my sleeping husband) The bathroom is small but not too bad. We were on the Caribe deck and had a wonderful balcony (half open and half covered). My husband and I found the bed very comfortable to sleep in. Our room steward did a great job keeping it clean and after requesting 2 wine glasses, he made sure we had 2 fresh wine glasses every day.
