Ship Facts: Independence of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Independence of the Seas Deck Plans
4 day taster cruise with in-laws!

We booked this cruise primarily to take the in-laws on their first cruise experience, they are both in their 80s! We have cruised with RCI and NCL before. The 4 days was too short in some cases and too long in others. The ship was totally amaze.. Loved it! Huge and very busy, there was room for everyone. Not really any queues anywhere, although I expected them. The only time we really had to Q was at customer service when the sea pass wouldn't open the cabin door!

The kids were gone for the 5 days, met other kids their own ages, and loved it. We were on board for Halloween and the staff organised a parade of costumes which was great fun.

The entertainment was spectacular. Especially the ice skating show, which I was very impressed with, and to have an ice rink on a ship is fab.

Didn't use the gym but the spa prices were so high, we didn't use it - we were very disappointed... it was empty as well, so obviously we weren't the only ones who thought so. I had plans to do a mother + daughter treatment, but just stupid prices.

Food in the main restaurant was excellent, and the service was briliiant, lovely waiters, and they are very skilled at making you feel at home... first name terms, called in-laws "Mom + Pop" and they loved it!

No noise in the cabins, only early morning - when other travellers were slamming their doors, but can't blame that on RCI staff.....

Would request this ship again, and am already booked with RCI for next year, different ship, but love their service.
