Sail Date: Nov 2013

My wife and I (age early 60's) booked this cruise on the new Royal Princess back in November 2012. It was a long wait, but once onboard it was worth the wait. What a beautiful ship!!! My exact words standing in the piazza were WOW!!!

Our journey started on Saturday Nov. 2nd. We flew out of Milwaukee that morning on a direct flight with Southwest Airlines to Ft Lauderdale. We spent the night at the Holiday Inn in Hollywood, Florida near the airport. The hotel had shuttle service to Port Everglades the next morning at a cost of $10.00 per person. We booked the early shuttle and arrived at the cruise terminal around 10:30 AM. We were able to check in right away, but were put in the Princess elite lounge where we waited till 12:15 to board the ship.

After checking out our cabin (E630), we set out to explore this magnificent ship. The expanded piazza and atrium area was our first stop, the hub of the ship. We were in awe, it was so beautiful. During the whole week music with bands played here. the dance floor was spacious, lot's of seating and enjoyed by everyone through out the week. I must say, we got our fare share of dancing in. In the same general area was the International Cafe and the Coffee Bar right next to it, a very popular destination for passengers.
