I have 3 positive things to say about our cruise on Norwegian Sky: we were with good friends, our room was fine and the Asst. Matre'D was very accommodating.

Ample room, comfortable beds and a balcony that could be sat on. The room was a bright note. The exception being - they no longer give you amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and face soap. The shampoo and hand soap were in containers attached to shower. Hair dryer only 1000 watts. If you have thick hair, bring a dryer.

We went to the main dining room after embarkation. Waited almost 2 hours for omelets that were on the menu - and they forgot the cheese. Waiter really didn't seem to care. That should have been our 1st clue. In general the food was passable only in a fast food way. Forget Cagneys, filet was inedible, service was almost non-existant. They tried to give us dessert menus before we had our entree! The shows were a joke and disembarkation was a nightmare. We were told to meet in Star burst Lounge to wait to be called. After an hour a crew member said that announcements couldn't be made there as the speakers system didn't work! The last time we traveled Norwegian, we loved them I personally feel that since the tips are collected automatically the crew has little incentive:( Never will sail them again. The difference between Celebrity abd Norwegian is comparable to the difference between McDonalds and Ruth's Chris!! They say attitude is everything. On this ship it was very negative.
