Traveled with children

This is a beautiful ship and we had an awesome vacation despite not being able to go to Stirrup Cay due to high winds. We were there during a week that most NJ schools had off so there were an abundance of families there and we were told there were 1800 kids (compared to the expected 30 kids for the following week). We were also told that the ship was at full capacity at 4800. Nevertheless, the only really annoying thing was listening to everyone complain - usually about nothing of significance. We found the kids to be more respectful than the adults and we actually felt bad for the staff for having to deal with their rudeness. Overall, the service was impeccable, the food was excellent, and despite the Debbie-downers, we had a great time!

Room - we had an inside cabin and thought it was adequate in size, well laid out, and well-organized. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms and shower were roomy. Comes with shampoo and shower gel dispensers and blow-dryer (don't bring your own - we blew a fuse). Steward was excellent and on top of everything.

Food - above average to excellent. We ate often at the Garden Cafe, Savor, Taste, Manhattan Room, Irish Pub (loved the fish n chips, corned beef soup, wings), Uptown Grill (awesome pastrami & reuben sandwiches, curly fries) which were all included in the price. We were a party of 6 and it was rare that we found anything that wasn't restaurant quality or close to it. Recommend skipping the "seafood night" at the Garden Cafe - it was not worth the trip and there were too many people fighting for lobster tails that were the size of large shrimp. Also ate at Cagney's Steakhouse and Le Bistro. The food was awesome, service was impeccable and I would say well worth the upcharge! Tip: make your dining reservations for the upcharge reservations several weeks in advance. Also, if you eat at the other restaurants after 7pm, there is usually no wait to be seated.

Steward was excellent and on top of everything - even left us towel animals.
