Okay, just to give you some background I am a 25 year old female who's been on 2 previous cruises. One cruise was in 2002 on Grand Princess and the other in May 2006 on Caribbean Princess. Rating the three experiences, I'd have to say I enjoyed the Caribbean Princess the most and Enchantment the least. I went with my best friend, who is 27, so this was kind of a girl's vacation. I know every one's experience is different and people's tastes are very different.....this just happens to be my view.

First let me say that this was very cheap in price. I originally booked on the internet, but later ended up speaking with a couple of different people prior to the cruise, arranging a couple of things. They were very pleasant and can only say good things about them.

The most disappointing part of the cruise? The dining experience at My Fair Lady. Usually this is my absolute favorite! First, we had second seating. EVERY SINGLE night they were late opening the doors. I'm not talking two minutes, but 15 minutes. Our waiter and assistant waiter were just o.k. Our waiter was from India and I could barely understand him. It wasn't just me either, all the people from our table said the same thing. Wasn't too impressed with service. It was the kind you usually receive at any restaurant. Food was just okay too. I was half expecting this as I have read other reviews, but thought maybe people were just being picky. I've had better food at times from a cafeteria. The overall service on the ship was just okay too. Our room steward cleaned our room very well and was very nice, but had to ask a couple of times for an extra towel. Never got one. We didn't get a daily newsletter the night before, so the next morning when we were walking by a cart we noticed a pile of extra ones on the cart. So, we took one since the steward was in a room vacuuming. The room steward came out and started yelling that it was for HIS cabins only and that we should have gotten one the night before. We said we didn't, so asked what cabin we were in. I told him, but he still insisted that we put it back. still don't understand if he had extras from giving them out the night before, why he couldn't just give us one. Bar service was just pretty good for the most part. The Windjammer's food was good. At times it was even better that the dining room. Now, I have to say the room itself was nicer than that on Princess since they've recently been renovated. More room too, which was very nice. It also seemed like they had more tv channels too (which is good because we needed them). More on that later. The bathroom was a mess. Don't get me wrong, it had a very nice design. However, every time we took a shower it would leak out of the hole next to the toilet, causing the whole floor of the bathroom to be cold and wet. Had to use all of our towels to put down we could go to the bathroom without our feet freezing. I also say that the shows on Enchantment were better than the ones I've seen on Grand Princess. Didn't go to any shows on Caribbean because we spent so much time with our waiter. The comedians on Enchantment were VERY good. The magician, jugglers, and comedians were all great. There weren't as many activities as I've experienced on my previous cruises, but that may be due to the fact that it was only a 4 night cruise. We ended up watching tv more than I have in the past. Part of that though was due to the ship moving so much. Never felt nauseous before, but this one I definitely felt it. That'll teach me to go on a cruise in November. It was VERY VERY windy too. You had to hold on to everything so it wouldn't fly away. At least the sun was out though. Just made the best of it on our sea day. My massage was very relaxing and I enjoyed it very much. The woman who did my massage was very pleasant and nice. She tried to sell me a few things, but I've come to expect that when going to the spa. She couldn't believe how much tension I had in my back for someone so young. I work as a service advisor at a Cadillac dealership where people yell all day, so you do get a little bit of stress with that. :) The ports themselves were wonderful. I love snorkeling in Cozumel and Key West was a lot of fun. Cozumel had so much shopping, we spent the majority of time doing that. Wish we had had more time so we could've spent more time at the beach. Did get my snorkeling in though, so I was happy with that. Key West was great for shopping. Again, wish we had spent more time there. Did get my piece of Key Lime pie :) One thing though....wasn't impressed at all with Pancho's Backyard. I'm of hispanic descent and the majority of my family makes mexican food. This restaurant seemed to be a total tourist restaurant. The rice tasted like it was out of a box. Good margaritas though. Overall, I have to say I was disappointed. The ship itself was absolutely beautiful. Expected a lot more and so did the two other people at our table. They had gone on a Carnival cruise the year before and said this whole cruise was very disappointing. They went so far as to say that they thought maybe a seven day cruise would be too much. I convinced them that this experience was not normal at all and that they should try again with maybe a another cruise line. Sold them on at least trying Princess since they had heard praises from other relatives about Princess as well. This was my friend's first cruise and she didn't enjoy much at all either. I had to convince her try another cruise in the future. One the two cruises before, I wanted to stay on the ship itself and the ports are just a plus. This cruise, the ports made it all worth it. I think I'll stick in Princess in the future. I'll probably try a couple of different lines like Celebrity or Norwegian. I don't know if I'll give Royal Caribbean another chance or not. I try not to be too critical. There are always good and bad things that go on during a cruise and you have to just make the best of everything. I did have a good time, but it was inspite of everything that went on, not because of. I work in customer service so I realize mistakes are made all the time and I try to brush it off. There were people on this cruise that were overreacting WAY too much to what was going on. Lighten up, you're on vacation. It's much better than being at work. :)
