Ship Facts: Rhapsody of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Rhapsody of the Seas Deck Plans
Second time on ship

Stayed the night before in Sydney and Boarded the following morning, embarkation was swift and easy and we enjoyed lunch on board, as this was the second time on this ship, the first prior to refit, i was interested to see the changes. Apart from the large screen on deck the only other reconizable changes were the additional resturants which were constantly promoted and excellent quality, i was last on this ship 3 years ago and was a little dissapointed that the song and dance theatre nights were the same, different perormers but same songs and same theme with the same sets, it was good because we knew what was coming next but i thought after 3 years they would have changed it.

We had a balcony cabin about Midships and for some reason had a constant arome of septic for the entire cruise coming from outside, other than that the room as expected was large and very comfortable with plenty of storage and very comfortable beds, too comfortable actually so we started ordering room service for breakfast otherwise we found ourselves oversleeping and missing breakfast entirely.

The theme nights were enjoyable as we love to get involved and get dressed up, and the cruise staff were entertaining also, we loved the islands however we did not realise that the ship no longer hires snorkel gear, fortunately we had the forsight to buy our own for $20 a set because on board the only sold them, people with us had to buy them but found them not as good as ours and they were sold for $85 on board, so as a MASSIVE hint, if you plan to snorkel take your own gear.

The resturant was excellent as usual and we dined there often for dinner, other meals we did in the Windjammer (smash'n'grab) the food was okay but i dont expect quality and quantity together so was not surprised when the spread was pretty much the same each day with ony a few exceptions. Guests were constantly notified as usual of events happening on the ship so there was never a dull moment unless you wanted it that way. All in all a great holiday and would definately cruise again with RCL.
