Royal Princess Cruise Review by Maxziel: Lovely ship but disappointing

Lovely ship but disappointing
Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean
We booked this some time before our cruise with friends who often cruise with us. We are all Princess fans and have always enjoyed ourselves in the past.
Good Points, Lovely new ship, great staff, food ok ( not as good as other cruises) the patisserie is excellent, good choice in Horizon court but not always hot.
Cabins: smaller than before and the balcony really is a joke in the past we have eaten breakfast there but it would be impossible now and we are not large people. Shower also seemed smaller in danger of knocking knees, head, etc.
Dancing water waste of time I agree with all that's been said. Retreat pool too windy, no indoor pool or aft pool now.
Dress code definitely not adhered to by many people making the dining experience lose its attractiveness.
Atrium: Although spectacular to look at impracticable on wet days, very crowded and noisy..
Library: What library!.
No promenade deck: really missed that. More
Shows: Although mostly good were only 35 mins, hardly worth the rush to get a seat. Agree lack of drink holders is silly how can you expect to sell drinks when you would have to hold for the entire show.
Our friend had to use the medical facilites and was very impressed (well done to the staff).
Final thoughts: Would probably cruise Princess again but not Royal or Regal as I understand she is the same design.
