This was my first cruise so I have nothing to compare it to except other reviews that I have read. I had to say that I am going to become addicted to cruising after this!

We went to Miami for two nights before the cruise. I really liked the hotel, Atlantic Oceanfront, and for the money was everything we ever dreamed of. The only problem there is that we had a fire alarm on the first morning at 7am and when we came down to the lobby none of the hotel staff was concerned. They just went about their own business and never told any of us who actually went outside that it was a false alarm. Other than that, the hotel was right on the beach about 2 miles north of South Beach. It was close enough to go to where the action was and then very peaceful to sleep. I don't think I will ever cruise out of Miami again because the traffic and drivers there are horrible. If it wasn't for crazy driving it would be a wonderful place.

I was concerned about lines upon embarkation so we we went to the Port at around 11am. We got in and registered and only had to stand in line 5 minutes before boarding the ship. We checked and our room was ready right away so we took the carry ons that we had to the room and went to the Windjammer for lunch. I thought that the food was great. It wasn't hot, but it was a nice temp to eat.
