This was our second cruise with NCL. We chose NCL because we were curious about the Freestyle dining, we also got a great last minute price, and the embarkation point of New Orleans was a short drive away.

Both the embarkation and debarkation was a breeze! We were on the ship by 1230 and off the ship by 0800.

Our cabin, 4312 was an inside deluxe meaning slightly oversized on the lowest level. The room seemed cramped to me compared to Carnival's cabins. The extra space was taken by a sofa and an extra side table. The cabins were not immaculate and only borderline clean. Our cabin steward was friendly but seemed stressed and overworked. There was a thick layer of dust on the shelves above the refrigerator which remained throughout our cruise as well as a cork from a wine bottle which was on the couch when we arrived and remained there throughout the trip! However, the room was quiet and dark which we appreciated after our busy days.
