We booked this cruise mainly based on the itinerary, as we wanted to see both Aruba and Curacao on the same cruise. We had not been on RCCL before, but have cruised on their upper level line Celebrity. For those that do not want to read the complete review, let me sum up our experience in one word, and that word applies to the ship, the staff, the cabin, the food and the ports of call - Excellent!

We arrived in San Juan a day ahead of departure so that we would have time to visit El Yunque (the National Park rain forest). We have been in San Juan before so did not need to spend time in Old San Juan or other parts of the city. We stayed at the Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort, very near El Yunque. This is a very nice hotel and an easy drive from the San Juan airport.
