Ship Facts: Carnival Dream Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Dream Deck Plans
Great Halloween Cruise

We just got home from 7 beautiful days in the Caribbean. The weather was gorgeous, the ship was beautiful. We had an aft balcony room and would choose that again, except for the LONG HALLWAYS (that is one long ship from bow to aft). The embarkation process at Port Canaveral was easy and we (FTTF) were on the ship within 15 minutes of getting to the door, very smooth.

The aft pool became the pool of choice as we were in the aft and the food was in the aft and the bar was in the aft. We did not eat in the steak house but did do the sampling and it was very good. The Food in the dining room was very good and we eat dinner there each night (Joseph and Romeo) were the best! The bad part in the main dining room, people came to dinner, in shorts, t-shirts, and bedroom shoes!!! The dress code is not enforced.

Our room was great and so was the stewards, the comedians and juggler were hilarious. We did not encounter long lines you would think that a ship that can hold 4,000 people would feel crowded but it felt very open most of the time.

PORTS -- Cozumel  We took the Carnivals Beginning Snorkeling tour which was good for the wife as she has not snorkeled before. The beach a Sunset beach is just OK nothing to write home about, the water is only semi-clear. But it was a good spot to learn at.

Belize  We took the Carnival Altum Ha and Wallace River Tour. I would say it is a nice tour but it is a long way on a bus over some rough roads. It had rained a few days before and water was everywhere but we made it all the way. The tour stops for lunch at a small resort. The food is very good and I guess is also priced OK at $10 a plate for chicken, beans/rice, and slaw. I would eat there again but not stay at the resort as it is at least 30 minutes from anything. The river part of the tour is OK you see some animals but the river is very dirty with stuff floating down it, maybe from all the rain.

Roatan  OK I am home. I really liked this place. Zip lined with Bodden Tours and then went snorkeling at West Bay Beach. With the tour it gets you into Bananarama Resort which is real nice and is on the beach. That was fun. It was not the prettiest reef I've seen, but it was fun and the water was great.

Costa Maya We took the taxi downtown and walked around, got a massage each at $20 and then eat. Every laid back day.

We had the same deck chairs every day, Deck 10 aft. We stayed away from the Lido deck pool and all the loud "music" and happenings. There seemed to be plenty of chairs so we never had to deal with chair hogs.

CREW -- The crew was always pleasant and friendly. They were always helpful.

Overall it was a very nice cruise. Wish that the Dream was not moving as we liked the ship very much.
