Sail Date: Oct 2013

Great ports of call, however, not enough planned excursions or time in ports. The ship has to go thru 25 locks, so there is a lot of time sailing and just looking at the sights from the deck. The food was good, not great and the wine was poor, with no choice only white or red. There were only two nights of entertainment, first and last (the best) and so there was a lot of down time in the ship before and after dinner. A few lectures helped. The room was ok, not very sound proof, flat pillows, and the air conditioning and plumbing were not working for a few hours at different times. The planned excursions were ok but too short, the concert in Vienna was the highlight of the optional excursions. Staff and service was good. All in all, you have to stay in hotels and eat at different restaurants to experience the real Europe! Could have spent a few nights in Budapest. Stayed at a Sofitel Hotel near the Chain Bridge the night before boarding and that was the best, as we were rested for the trip and got to see more of Budapest.
