Sail Date: Nov 2006

We sailed on Freedom of the Seas for our 29th wedding anniversary. This being our sixth cruise, I feel I can fairly rate a cruise vacation.

We left for a seven day cruise on Nov. 5, 2006 and returned Nov. 12, 2006. This was the 23rd voyage of this ship. The weather was completely calm and beautiful for the entire voyage. The experience was fabulous in every respect.

We had a D2 balcony stateroom, cabin 7660. The cabin was very roomy (around 200 sq. feet), had an excellent amount of closet space and shelves in the closet that were extremely useful. Our view was totally unobstructed and magnificent. The balcony was quite roomy. The bathroom was terrific, the shower had a curved enclosure made of a translucent material that provided more room than the standard shower; no more wet shower curtain clinging to your body! There was a hand held shower massage and, of course, all the grooming amenities such as a high quality conditioning shampoo, many thick towels of every size, very plush bathrobes, and a blow dryer in a drawer! The room had a multitude of electric outlets, more than we had ever seen before, which were very helpful for charging all sorts of batteries and shavers. Everything was immaculate and of course very new. The stateroom attendant, Karen, did a good job but not a great job in cleaning the room. The mirrors were never well cleaned and the carpet could have been vacuumed better. The bed was very luxurious, super high quality mattress and linens, and made up beautifully, with many comfortable pillows.
