This was our first cruise on NCL and I was a bit worried as I'd read many bad reviews and heard some not so kind things from former passengers. Embarkation day was pretty bad but I cut them some slack because they underwent a complete customs/immigration inspection. The ship itself is in pretty good shape and does have some good features (the theater is very nice) and the food was actually quite good most of the time. The Blue Lagoon is pretty much a washout with it's limited menu but the food you were able to order was good. The main dining room is very pretty but also very noisy. The Aqua dining room is very plain, dark, and dreary. The Market Cafe looks more like a high school lunch room than a restaurant on a ship and the way the tables are jammed together makes for some interesting contact with your fellow passengers. Because of all the alternative dining areas the ship lacks public space inside for people to sit and listen to music, talk, or play games.

Debarkation was the very worst I've ever experienced. No coordination/planning was apparent. It was like farmer Brown opened the barn door and 2,000 cows tried to get through it at the same time. There was a conga line on deck 7 that went from one end of the ship to the other and back again with absolutely no crew member present to take charge of the situation. I didn't see any fist fights but did witness several verbal confrontations.
