traveled with spouse and friends ages 45-70. The trip was wonderful and the ship is very nice. Really enjoyed all excursions booked through the Carnival website. The food was very good in the main dining room. the deli and burgers also very good. The breakfast buffet has lots of choices, while mostly the same each day there was so many choices you could have something different every day. We thought the food was adequate and good for a buffet.
The ship has very small pools and really would only say 1.5 which does not leave any room to swim with that many people on board. Hot tubs always full and was only able to get in once. I cruise ship with that many people really needs more pool space as it was too hot to be outside in the sun when you could not wiggle a spot into the pool. If the pools would be larger it might help also but one pool is extremely small and the other is in the middle of grand central with loud music, kids running and yelling and no chairs to be found and no pool room.
we found the shows to be good. The ventriloquist did a great job and the musical shows also good. seating was hard to find after dinner to see the shows so go early to get a seat. Bingo seemed expensive.
we decided to save money for more fun stuff than sleeping and booked an interior room. we had three adults so was a little nervous until we opened the door. It was a nice surprise to find plenty of room for all of us and lots of storage. I would book interior again since all you see at night out a window at sea is black. If you are a stay in your cabin person I can see a window or balcony but otherwise the interior is more than big enough for 3 adults and 3 large suitcases. closets are very large and bags easily slide under the bed. great job carnival making the trip even more affordable and allowing us to be able to do more excursions with the money
