This is our 8th cruise. We are in our late 30's from VA and traveled with 4 others. We all had balcony rooms on deck 6. Yes the cruise had more people from PR on it and some of the activities and music was geared towards the Latin culture. To be honest it was a nice change. After a few cruises the same music, same shows, etc gets old. At night there was a bit more noise than normal but we were so tired at night it did not matter. If you are looking for a typical Carnival cruise with the standard music, shows, mostly American guests....this is not the cruise for you. You will not be happy on this cruise. We had a great time and found it to be a nice change. Never came across any guests from PR throwing food or being rude.
We had a great cabin steward and an amazing dinning room staff. In fact they spent so much time with us that other guests were always watching our table as we would have 5 or more staff at our table laughing or talking. The ship and cabin was clean. It has not been updated yet but it still looks good for its age. Food was excellent at dinner and the lunch buffet was good. We did the Cheers program and I was drinking Grey Goose martinis and easily saved money by doing the Cheers program. The ports of call were great and we liked the fact there was only one day at sea. At a few ports we just hired a local taxi to see the islands. We did the sea turtle snorkel excursion in Barbados and it was well worth it.
We did the self disembark off the ship and were off by 7:15 am. We got the airport and were sitting at our gate by 8:30am. We were so worried about making a 10:45 am flight. We had plenty of time.
