Ship Facts: Liberty of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Liberty of the Seas Deck Plans
Another wonderful cruise with RCI!

Just back from our first European cruise, and it was wonderful!

Embarkation was a breeze. We're Platinum status and had priority check in. Found our Promenade stateroom quickly, and our excursion tickets were waiting for us along with our Meet & Mingle invitation.

We had main seating (6:30) for dinner, and had a table for two as requested. Our waiter Elvis and assistant waiter Daniela were outstanding. We found the food very good. We ate in Chops one night and it was excellent. Windjammer was good, or as good as buffet ever is. Liked some of it, not others.

Our room steward Jo was also exceptional. Always ready to open our door for uss and made sure we had plenty of ice readily available.

With the automatic billing of tips, I was afraid the "motivation" for exceptional service would be affected. But it wasn't any less than our 5 previous RCI cruises!

We booked Shore Excursions thru the ship, and enjoyed them all. Tour guides were very good. Our excursions were:

*Aix-en-Provence -- nice tour, but no real time for wandering and shopping.

*Nice and St. Paul de Vance -- Nice was seen thru the bus, but St. Paul de Vance was wonderful! 16th century walled village turned into art galleries and shops. Charming and fun!

*Historic Florence & Academee Museum -- nice walking tour, including The David which was remarkable! Nice lunch at a local restaurant.

*Imperial Rome -- Fast paced but wonderful tour that hit the highlights including Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Roman Forum. Also included a delicious lunch!

*Amalfi by Motor Launch and Pompeii -- boat ride up Amalfi Coast was fabulous and relaxing! Town of Amalfi was charming! Then went to Pompeii which was absolutely amazing! Only complaint: the stupid visit to the cameo factory. Pure commercialism and the only real complaint of all the tours. Nice lunch at local restaurant.

Ship Entertainment: we thought the shows were either excellent or very good, especially In The Air and Saturday Night Fever. Didn't see headliner show (Viva Voce).

Debarkation and airport transfer was organized and quick.

Overall, another wonderful RCI cruise!
