For Adults - A great one-time experience

Sail Date: September 2013
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Port Canaveral (Orlando)

A group of us sailed out of Port Canaveral for a 3 day cruise and enjoyed the beauty of the ship, the great service and adult areas. We are great Disney fans and got a full measure of Disney high quality experiences. Every crew member was outstanding, especially our wait staff. The forward part of the ship has three decks for adults only and it was nice to get away to that area. Given the themed areas in the other parts of the ship, the adult pool is lack luster but it is comfortable.

We really liked the rotation of the dining and liked Enchanted Garden the best. It may be that it was the first night of the cruise and many of the families with small children opted out of the 8:30 seating. The buffet with endless shrimp and other seafood couldn't be beat. We also enjoyed the burgers near the pool.

The entertainment was all Disney and we enjoyed it but three nights was enough, especially since there was not optional adult entertainment/comedy.

The shopping More really was Disney themed and we missed the specials and shopping other ships offer. Because there is no casino and they do not push the drinks, you pay more for a Disney cruise.

All in all, we were happy we did this one time and got to go to Castaway Cay and enjoy the ship but unless we are traveling with children, we will stick to other cruise lines. Less

Cabin review:

This is a wonderful stateroom at the very back of the ship with an over sized balcony. We could have gone around the world on that balcony! It is fun to see the ship back into ports and then sail out from the back of the boat. The problem with the Disney Dream is that the queen bed does not split into two twins as on other ships and so since we travel as friends, one of us ended up on the pull out sofa, which was very uncomfortable.
