Ship Facts: Oceana Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Oceana Deck Plans
Time of our lives on a beautiful ship

This was our first ever cruise. Based on this fantastic experience on this beautiful ship (Oceana) I can say for sure that we will cruise again and it will more than likely be on this ship again.

P&0 have it spot on for customer experience, from the moment we boarded, to the moment we left the staff on the ship made us feel so very welcome, they couldn’t do enough to help. Words could not describe the hospitality we received. They were absolutely brilliant and very professional with their service.

Food in the restaurants was excellent and delicious no matter what we had, it was always very well presented and served efficiently and professionally by very friendly waiters.

Our cabin was clean and comfortable and kept immaculate by Johnson our steward and his crew.

Bars were good with excellent service, we never had to wait for a drink there was always someone at hand to serve us, drink prices were very reasonable too.

The whole ship in general was immaculate, and no matter where you were you were greeted, and looked after with professional service second to none.

The Plaza buffet dining room was also excellent, we used this on days when we fancied something different, they had nights when the food theme was Mediterranean, Indian, Mexican, British etc etc, and there was always lots of food with many varieties. And once again the staff could not do enough to help.

The shows in the theatre and show room were brilliant, great comedians and great dancers and always very entertaining.

The nightclub (le club) was always a great spot for a late night drink, the DJ ‘Danny Feelgood’ certainly lived up to his name, always smiling, friendly and played music to cater for everyone. (Careful what you say on the dance floor as he has super human hearing powers and can hear everything in his DJ box lol)

The Jardine café was also excellent, and the place to go if you fancy a late night munch. The waiters there always had a table ready around 3am for the small group of us that always turned up after the nightclub, these guys were brilliant and knew exactly what we were likely to want to eat and drink and always had it all ready and prepared for us. Once again a very professional friendly bunch of staff who could not do enough to help. My message for them is keep those delicious late night Panini’s warm as we will be coming again soon.

I could go on and on about this ship and our great experience by writing pages, my advice to anyone considering this ship is ‘just book it you will have the time of your lives’. In a nutshell there is not a bad word I can say about anything, P&O have got it spot on, and everything is so very well organised and well managed with service second to none.

We cannot wait to cruise again, and as I said earlier it will more than likely be this ship again.

Thanks for a fantastic holiday.

Mr Kam Lakhani & Miss Donna Hartnoll.
