My wife and I were very impressed with our Alaska cruise and tour. Everything ran extremely smooth. We were met at the Seattle airport by a representive from Holland American. We were taken to the Hilton Hotel in Seattle. Received information regarding our departure for Vancouver the next morning. Had a great meal and was told to leave our luggage outside our room in the morning. We were give colored tags to attach. Our luggage was picked up in the morning and we boarded a bus for the trip to Vancouve. Our luggage was waiting for us when we arrived. After a rather slow trip through security and customes our luggage we taken to our cabin. .
We spent 7 days cruising the inter-passage. We visited Ketchikan, Juneau,Skagway, and Glacier Bay Our final stop was Seward. We boarded a Bus for a very long trip to Denali. The Holland America lodge in Denali was a little dispointing, The ice machines on each floor did not work and we had to go outside and walk up a pretty steep hill to retrieve ice. I think everyone was a little distressed over that. The Lodge was just aross the highway from several places to eat. There was a great diner in the Lodge, but after several hour on the bus it felt good to move around. One thing though, when we left Seward they told us to only take enouge clothe for three days and leave the rest in Seward, they would make sure they were at our next destination. We did and renting a gator and riding arount the park, we were pretty dirty the rest of the tour.( Take bug spray). At the end of our time in Denali,e boarded a train andent to Anchorage. Spent a night in Anchorage . Our bags were there. Next morning boarded a plane to Chicago and home. This was our fourth cruise and we are planning another cruise on Holland American in January 2014.
Holland America planned the entire cruise and tour for us. They did a fantastic job.
