Summary: Although Mariner of The Seas is identical in design and layout of the other Voyager Class Ships in RCCL's fleet, it sets itself apart in exceptional service, added artwork and flair. Lift your glass to toast Royal Caribbean's newest ship - what a blast we had!
We took a cab from Orlando Airport. There was two of us and it cost $83. The ride took about 35-40 minutes.
Boarding: Port Canaveral itself has yet to complete the construction of the parking areas and loading spaces for RRCL's area. As a result, traffic is backed up and a hassle. Upon or arrival, there was much confusion regarding the directions we were being given in terms of where to drive for drop off. Once dropped off, getting a RCCL porter was efficient and we quickly checked our bags and walked to enter the terminal. TIP: Pass the first set of doors and opt to enter the farther set, there is less of a line and it moved much quicker, saving almost 20 minutes (timed by another guest who entered the other line at the same time as we did). Everyone passes through metal detectors and many just simply didn't remember to remove metal items and all other things necessary to pass through metal and x-ray. This slowed the line a bit, but in the end we moved along. Immediately after the metal detectors, is a RCCL staff member stopping all people to ask if you have your documents. TIP: If you already have all your necessary forms completed and your cruise documents with you, pass this line and go up stairs. Waiting in that line will add another 5 minutes at peek loading.
