Ship Facts: Royal Princess Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Royal Princess Deck Plans
Is this the ship for you?

We boarded this ship in Barcelona with a smooth embarkation. The ship is beautiful inside. The cabin is adequate for 2 and well laid out with plenty of storage. The balcony however,is so tiny, its impossible to have another couple over for some cheese and wine. Also the balcony lights never worked.

We were top deck forward and there was a vibration noise in the walls when the ship was moving. If the balcony door was open, wind tunnel noise was very loud. The cabin just felt like it was cheaply built. The thermostat doesnt even have numbers on it.lol.Rust was already showing on the steel plate around the balcony floor. This ship isnt even 6 months old!!This is the same ship that broke down a week earlier.

Apparently the ship lost power and the anchor winch motor burned out. This doesnt happen on a well built ship just a few months old.

Elevators were slow and congested with no central stairway. The ship is also missing a full promenade deck.Pools are way too small for a 3800 passenger ship. The fountain pool is a waste of space and the SkyWalk is a waste of space and money.Princess needs to find a better gimmick than that.

We made reservations at the Crown Grill 3 days prior for a romantic table with a view.We were given a table with a view of a ......lifeboat.Huge design flaw but the food was good.

If food variety is a priority, this ship will please you.If food quality is a priority, this ship will definitely dissapoint .Buffet and dining room food is cafeteria standard .Their coffee tastes like it came from the cheapest beans available.Food is luke warm and then cold by the time you find a table in the buffet.Scrambled eggs are warm and runny, likely from a mix.The side bacon is really strips of fat with the odd piece of meat attached.Pizza at the pool and Alfredos is brutal.

If you want really good dining, you will get it at Sabbatinis and theCrown Grill. You will also get a $25.00 per person upcharge from Princess.

Dining room menus are repetitive with the rack of pork entree consisting of a dry pork chop.At least thats what it looked like. There were no 'peel & eat shrimp' or lobster at the buffet anytime.Skim milk for your coffee,no cream.Room service will cost you.Seriously.The staff are polite and helpful and front desk wasable to answer any questions we had.

The entertainment was good at times, boring at others. The disembarkation went smooth.

The value for the money just isn't there on this ship.So much about this ship has "cheap" written all over it.I guess we were spoiled on the Oasis. We wont be using Princess again.
