My co-worker and I went together, as she had only been on weekend - 3 day cruises. I'll try to keep this short and sweet.
Embarkation and debarkation was not smooth - almost atrocious. Even Platinum and we didn't get on the boat for almost 2 hours and debarkation was worse. People boarding for the next cruise probably didn't even get aboard until 3pm cause the line was so long to get off the ship - 2 hours winding around the promenade deck on the ship to get off. Long Beach get it together - horrible.
Miracle decor was very vibrant in the atrium, and we found the story book themes around the ship strange, but better than no themes ? The Mad Hatter lounge was a bit claustrophobic, but we liked it.
We had extended balcony room 6152 - Leny our room steward was awesome. No noise since there was rooms above and below, but the air conditioning was not very potent and the sink didn't drain very well. Otherwise room was always clean and appealing. Ice always in our bucket :)
Meals were typical Carnival, as we ate in the dining room every night. We had two elegant nights one of which included the all you can eat lobster. I enjoy the Punchliner breakfasts ( the cheese balls rock) And the Bloody Mary station before you go in the dining room in the morning is a must visit.
Loved the dual tides pools with the separation of smoking and non smoking sections. Didn't use the Serenity area, but it did have a pool and not just a whirlpool. Slide was fun for us older kids even though.
Theatre shows were flawless, activities abounded throughout the day with comedy shows to make you ache.
I used the gym and enjoyed the machines. They had television shows built in and video games, if you chose. Very clean, aesthetically pleasing and plenty of machines with +fee classes of yoga, cycling, and body pump.
Miracle exceeded my expectations and recommend it highly. The layout of the elevators makes it nice since you're not stuck playing elevator shuffle to get up and down to almost all floors.
Theresa in the bar lounge was the best bartender and she made sure you got every ounce of your tasters she made.
October was a great time to go since there wasn't very many kids which made it nice. Although we had a Tropical Storm to contend with that deviated the plan and cut short our stays in both ports, but Carnival made sure we were well aware of all of the changes.
