30+ cruise for the 40 something married couple. Have travelled on all the main line cruiselines. Have only cruised Caribbean and Mexico.
Pros: 1. Ship is gorgeous and very clean. 2. Layout is very similar to other Princess ships, so it's easy for repeat Princess passengers to find their way around. 3. Itinerary! WOW! Great islands! 4. Cabin, plenty of storage and room to move around. Enjoyed the balcony and the bathtub! 5. Full ship but didn't have trouble getting a deck chair. 6. Disembarkation was quick. 7. Pool bar service was plentiful. 8. Sanctuary cabana couples massage...excellent. 9. Casino handled the crowds pretty well. 10. Chocolate chip walnut cookies, Yumm!
Cons: 1. Embarkation was a disaster (first embarkation from San Juan - hope this is a one time issue!) 2. Food - mediocre. 3. Entertainment - mediocre. 4. Elevators - some not working, the others stop at every floor even if no one is calling them?
This wasn't the best Princess cruise I've More
been on, but I've been on a lot worse. Food was probably my biggest letdown.
Barbados: Golfing at Barbados Country Club...guys had a great time. Malibu Beach Break and Distillery Tour, interesting and a beautiful beach.
St. Lucia: Redruit Beach - Very nice
Antigua: Antigua Beach Break - Runaway Beach, nice
St. Maarten: Orient Beach - are beautiful as ever
St. Thomas: Megan's Bay - my favorite still. Crown Bay pier isn't operating completely yet, so there is no shopping nearby.
San Juan: new pier used was obviously not prepared for the number of disembarking and embarking passengers on Day 1! UGH! Princess really didn't handle the long lines in the blazing sun very well either. Thought there was going to be a riot when people started cutting line! Less
