This was our 13th cruise and the first on the Enchantment. Some of our family members were meeting in Florida in October so we decided to combine our visit with a cruise over the Halloween Holiday. We spent the night before the cruise in Fort Lauderdale at a Red Roof Inn. It was not too far from the port. We had drove to Florida and were very happy with the parking lot and the ease in boarding the Enchantment. This was our 8th cruise with Royal Caribbean our first out of Fort Lauderdale. We have used the internet to print our boarding passes before, but this port was by far the fastest and easiest we have ever went through. It seems every cruise with RCCL gets faster and smoother than the last one.

This was the first time we had ever been in an inside cabin. It was small as we expected, but enough room for my wife and I. Our luggage was delivered faster than any cruise we have been on before! After eating in the windjammer, we met up with friends and family on the pool deck to have a drink as we waited to get underway. The only bad thing I can report is that it was raining a little, no fault of the ship of course, but there was not the usual party feeling before we went to Life boat drill.

We had second seating and met our waiter, assistant waiter, and head waiter that night. As always the staff in the dining room does a fantastic job of making everyone feel special. The food over the cruise was up to par with other cruises we have taken. The windjammer did a good job with the lunch buffets also.
