This was the 2nd time we have sailed on the spirit . There were 4 of us.
The cabin on floor 9 was good and kept immaculately clean.
The food in the Lido self service was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient ..all the time .We ate in this area every other night ......but could have been just as happy going in every night..Which might have been the case if we had travelled as a couple on our own as we spoke to a number of single couples who found the dining experience in the compass rose restaurent less than impressive..having experienced almost an unfriendly attitude if seated at certain tables..........waiters working at ridiculous speed .and ..where believe it or not ....on most occaisions nobody spoke to them to bring them into the conversation .
it might have explained why in the ships newsletter they had to explain that they couldn,t accommodate tables for 2 persons.....perhaps they should try harder with this aspect and give more More choice.Had they been asked a lot more than usual?
The lido restaurent did seem busier than the the compass rose. .....food quality was better in Lido.
Staff on the ship were excellent ....helpful friendly and courteous.
the entertainment put on was of a high standard and very polished....great stuff .....congratulations to the entertainment team.
Arrival at Harwich was smooth ......short ride on Leger coaches to the Port....all good.
The excursions were excellent and well worth the money ....you should book before to be sure to get what you want ......most excursions were still bookable on board but you can never be sure .
the return disembarkation was busy but efficient ....good coaches ...paphos airport busy but waitin time not too bad .....and flight was good ....surprisinly good legroom !
all in all ....mostly good ..... a good experience again Less
