Ventura

Sail Date: September 2013
Destination: Canary Islands
Embarkation: Southampton

I have just returned from a lovely cruise with ventura I took my son and his partner as my sister I was going with passed away last month she was so looking forward to another cruise on this ship

I found it was to big for me as It there was to much walking but I found the entertainment was excellent also choice of food in the bay tree restaurant served by stephen and dev who couldn't do enough for us

The organised trips were very good even though pricey

Only problem was I never liked the coffee on board could have been the water also the loud music in the casino why do these singers have to shout

I enjoyed the pina colader the last two nights as they wasnt filled with ice as I was told they can only make them with ice till a waiter said he would do them for me without the ice and the drink was perfect Less

Cabin review:

Excellent lovely queen bed cabin I had to pay extra for as I am a single which was far to expensive plenty of hangers for clothes wardrobe also drawers shower was perfect also cabin boy kept it clean and tidy everyday also tea coffee and biscuits

Port and Shore Excursions

City Tour

lovely tour seeing all the monuments which I couldnt take photos of so I hope my son did when he went on the hop and off buses

River Cruise

ideal as I had a lovely view on the boat for taking photos also we were served with a drink and cakes a very relaxing trip

Botanical Garden

very steep and cobbly no good if disabled it was a lovely garden what I saw of it as I couldnt walk very far

Cable Car

excellent views dubious about getting on and off

it was lovely seeing all the orchids also having free tea and cake and it had slabs to walk on which was ideal for me
